KILLING ME SOFTLY

"Ancient Rainbow Oak" by LINDA *
(see below).

DO ME!

  Tear me limb from limb
Make me pain
See me bleed

Such long I've lived
And long loved

From my Father's seed
I grew in vain?
Down now. Take me
 But one more tree

  5. Good grief!
    So intense!
    Lighten up!
    Laugh and dance!
    Did you start painting yet?
    I am serious.
Pick up some brushes and paints and a canvas.
Try acrylics. I don't use them. I use oils but acrylics is good for beginners because they don't require a whole lot of cleaning set up and an array of solvents, just water. I am interested in finding out what you come up with. I won't be surprised if you can paint!!!

  6. I ventured over here to see what the musician is inspired to create note by note, pen to paper -- a walk to the edge kind of deep intense worthy Sunday 160,

  15. The title of the song aptly fits this piece and so does the painting, dear Steve. I'd be inspired to plant more trees after reading this. I should DO IT.

    Joy always,
    Susan

  18. Beautiful, tragic write, Steve. I have a deep spiritual connection to trees. I hate to see a tree, or anyone, for that matter, come down.
