SEVEN

Posted for Dverse after 3 PM Tuesday

Like seven sisters
on high wire
i'm sighting
is this real?

wire on high
through which
power flows, sits
fourteen tiny feet
fourteen eyes
ogling us

seven voices in the choir
sweet sounds
singing sweeter
birdsongs.

night after night
for three
singing for you
and me
--for what it's worth
gone on the fourth :'(

seven little birds
fluffy white clouds
seven virtues
seven sins
singing in wind

seven sisters
wired high
sisters: seven
in sky

my friends of evenings
you'll be missed
while you were here
I felt specially
loved and kissed

PEACE!

--Steve E

  4. I love hearing bird songs at night. There is something other-worldly and romantic about it.

  5. There are about seven little birds that visit me on the patio every evening. One of them is a sparrow I call Paul. ;^)

  6. BRIAN:
Yup, nothing attracts serenity more that a soft sweet song, especially sung by a bird choir.

    HEAVEN:
Woman, you write words of kindness. Thank you.

    PATTIKEN:
Well, I like to sing also, NMW Peeps say or think.

    MAGPIE:
Birds are sopranos in nature's chorus. Inspiring romance—yes.

    TESS KINCAID:
If these seven return even once more, they shall be named...not all girls, though! I can begin with Tess, Magpie, Patti, Heaven and Brian! Thanks, girl!

  8. We have seven sisters here as well and the ruckus they create. Perhaps, I should parcel some from here to you in Florida.

    You are a darling, Steve.

    Joy and smiles,

  18. Sorry Peep.
had to delete all that copy paste thing- I don't like long blogs or comments- you know!

You only know about 'connecting' with all creation, because you live it, Ma'am. You are nice!

    PAT HATT:
I will fight to the death for my cat food. Birds are the earliest music—maybe? After the angel choirs, of course!

    AYALA:
Yup. All we need is to be open, to hear, to see. Creation is the origin of inspiration.

    JANNIE:
I HEAR you, Jannie! OK, I'll keep my eyes on the road, keep my hands on the wheel. I won't look in the back seat, where you all are havin' fun! --I had to Google it...grin! N OTE: So many Peeps been so nice to me today, and you be one of them. Thanks. Hugs!

Ya know, I (true) hear orchestras playing in my head almost constantly, even have trouble focusing on a conversation—while “Beethoven” is 'playing'. So to take a break and listen to those song birds is a real treat. It's called SERENITY. And PEACE! To you.

    JOANNE ELLIOTT:
I value your thoughts about this, and you are correct, JE. Thank you for reading/and comment!

    ED PILOLLA:
You must have a laptop propped on your stomach, Ed. I tried to read with hands behind my head. It's not easy—I want to fall asleep-grin
Thank you for enjoying some pleasant moment with me.

    DULCE:
You are saying to the 'King of Long Comment' that you do not like long comments, LOL! Sometimes (often?) I get carried away also, do not be sorry. And yes, these lines today are important to me, I really loved those 'bird' moments in my back yard. As if like God's little messengers, bringing peace with their song. Thanks for coming by.

  22. Steve, this is a poem, a prayer and a song to me.

Touched me deeply...reminded me something of Blake.

So lovely, Steve, so heartfelt....but from you, I would except this tenderness.

    ANN LEFLORE:
I'm glad to meet you...now I want to go visit. Thank you, Ann.

    MRS MEDIOCRITY:
Funny, that something I pore over and spend a half-day arranging turns out BLAH! And like those birds I saw and heard--the words just slide out onto the keyboard, and it feels just nice! Thanks for coming over...

  28. Avian rosary beads strung upon those wires, Steven, reminding us that they're more than just birds against the sky. Lovely write.

  29. ROSEMARY:
Your blog is delightful. Isn't it fun, meeting new Peeps?

    C ROSE:
I see all nature as a song, or singing.
Even the 'tweeting' between galaxies is like the noise in my head. It is like Shakespeare said of Beethoven's symphonies: the most sublime noise known to mankind.

    JOSEPH HESCH:
Yes, everything created is spiritual in nature. Is not the moment of creation ongoing in the time envelope created for us. We must not know too much, too soon.

"Birds of the Rosary" almost makes them holy...I LOVE it!

Barbara, I learned a little about viewing the beauties of life by reading you--and the other real poets around the blogs. The most true pleasure I've had in many a moon (See, there's that 'moon' again--grin!)

    I'm addicted to youse guys!

    PEACE!

  32. This morning, as I went to get the paper, I had seven birds hanging around the front yard -- seven crows. Theyw ere waiting for me to put the trash out.

I like this, Stve, - the repetitions of the sevens is good.
