NOT A POEM! WELL, MAYBE...

NO TIME FOR PICTURES

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Why am I usually 'happy'?
why do I enjoy LIFE?
why do I feel at peace?
what frees me from
unnecessary stress?

How come I was
gifted sobriety?
please...was not
'will power', friends!
shhhhhh! Whisper...
(how do I stay sober?
grace of God, plus A.A.)

where I
walk, ride,
work, reside--
dead-end or
free-way?

freedom from Bondage of Self,
they say.
keeps me off dusty shelf
they say.

does not mean I'm unselfish...NO!
freedom from attachment
freedom from needing...wanting
freedom from Ego. Flaunting
talents not the game
daily assignments daunting
yet all the same.

living life on life's terms...”
acceptance with open arms

thinking not less of self
but thinking of self less

clinches this deal:
living not lifeless stress
but living stress-less life
just me and my wife...

  3. Some very good cliches in this write, my friend. However, I still believe we deserve credit for choice as well as will power. No we don't do it alone, but action and work was and is required.

  7. You know how to keep from getting an ulcer, Steve. I should adopt some of your philosophies...maybe my stomach will stop hurting and I won't need the two different things I take to make it better!

  8. Love this line...
    "thinking not less of self
    but thinking of self less"

I'm so much happier when I have someone else's well-being on my mind.

  17. MOONDUSTWRITER:
Each day is a celebration of this eternity, which we have compressed into earthly 'time' marked by hours and days.

    LINDA:
'Simple' can always be seen as 'not' by me, who complicate every
    single action or behavior...
    e.g., "to be"

    DULCE:
    What can I say?
    You who write
    day after day
    from unclothed soul,
    are definitely
    one unique Peep.
    Thank you!
