TRUE HAPPINESS

"Oh, you have made me SO happy!"

"I am happy only when we are together!"

"If you leave me, I'll never be happy again!"

"(cough, cough, spit)...we've kept each other happy for 57 years, 102 days, 16 hours, 31 minutes..."!

Etcetera, Etcetera, Etcetera...
______________________________________________

Hmmmmm. I posted the following in the past, and it still ringing in my head. I am every day so VERY happy, but nearly always it is the result of sayings or happenings of someone or something else. When my happiness is inside me, inside my heart, inside my soul, and for only this reason:  "Just because"...then--then may I smile truly in the Universe, and answer honestly the question "How are you"? with this response:
"H A P P Y !!!"--grin!

"True happiness is caused by nothing. True happiness is causeless. When something or some Peep causes my happiness, I will become possessive of that thing or Peep. I will become anxious, lest I lose it.

"If I ask the mystic why he or she is happy, the answer will be, ‘why not?’"

"Nothing will ever upset me. No one shall ever hurt me." (Peep must not be human!)

YEAH...RIGHT--grin! I keep trying and growing!

--From thoughts of Anthony De Mello.

Thank you to MANY Peeps who really know what I'm writing about here. Loving you all. PEACE!

    1. Thermostat or Thermometer kind of people. I sure LIKE that analogy.

I believe I "set" the thermostat...but it sort of depends on the temperature...thermometer reading!

Probably I'm just ALL WET! --grin!

    1. Brian, you prob won't see this...but...
When we and another are happy while together--or in a friendship--it is God's gift. Our happiness is like a third Peep, arising from our love. When we are separated, or somehow apart, we regret not that, for we are still happy FOR each other, and for the gift God let us enjoy for a time.

Then we pass on to the next JOY in our lives, always praising God for His Goodness.

I wish it were as easy to PRACTICE as it is to WRITE--grin! Because always that "human" angle seems to get in the way, ya know?
PEACE, my Friend (Knowing you makes me happy too!)......

  6. I love....yes, love...when I am happy within myself. Then it just seems to burst out and I get a little silly. I enjoy when I'm happy "with" someone else. When a connection between the two of us makes me smile. I'm not happy when I'm looking somewhere else for my happiness. Peace and LOVE to you, My Peep!

  11. Truth is, if we didn't have unhappy times, then we would never appreciate the happy ones. Look at the person who has all the money in the world and yet, is desperately unhappy...To be happy, we all need love. Yet saying this, we don't always love another, because there are times they do things we don't like.
No one can completely love us, as we fail also. It is here that it becomes important to know that God, the Creator, loves us no matter what. He doesn't always love the things we do, however, he still loves us, and that feels good. Do I deserve to be loved like that? Not always! Sometimes I cannot even stand myself. But it is of a great comfort to me, to know that God never sleeps and he always loves me. Just lately I read a book for children. It is written by Max Lucado and called 'I Am Special.' I was so impressed with it that I went to Amazon.com and ordered it for my grandchildren. From an early age, we all need to know how special we are, faults and all.

Yes! Yes! Yes! And why couldn't I have read something like this years ago? I was wasted so much of my life looking elsewhere for happiness because I really believe true happiness needed to be "caused."

    1. Hey girl! We cannot read AND understand something before it is "our" time. See for how many millennia our earth was FLAT? Even when some began to "see" that earth was somewhat sphere-shaped, these Peeps were ostracized as fools, etc.

So you (and I!) are learning at the pace intended for us. We really don't have to "KNOW" a lot to be better than we were, right?

Live, love, enjoy. God will lead you away from your problems, just like He brought you and me HERE to this wonderful way of life...without us knowing it--grin!
      PEACE!

    1. Izzy, "I am happy" you decided to post your "second" comment--grin!
But I searched through all the files and folders of deleted stuff, and you are just not there--and I do not recall receiving from you a comment, since Nov 11, at 8:30 AM (MY time) on the "Vote" post.

      But anyway. PEACE!!!!!!!!!

Also, although we are OK here, this "LOVE" post was not about US...it was about my perceptions. BTW, "we" have NOT been married

"(cough, cough, spit)...we've kept each other happy for 57 years, 102 days, 16 hours, 31 minutes..."!

More like 20 years, it's been...mostly happy, like most Peeps. But I really was writing more like the thoughts of Dark Angel", the next comment. Maybe I'll FWD it to you, because chance of you reading this are slimmmm!

We all just doing the best we can with what we got, Izzy, and I hope you can get through EVERY time you choose, because I like/need your input on all these things, girl!
      Thanks SO much.
      Steve

  17. About 99.99% happiness depends upon non living things as in materials, and living things as in human beings or cats and dogs and any other animals that amuse us in some or the other way. By this we can well understand we can never be alone and happy at the same time, and if you are alone and happy, these normal people will surely tag you as "mad" a label that is mostly used by these "above normal people".
Most of the days I am happy, and when I smile or laugh alone, my friends often ask why am I smiling? and then they say, I have gone mad. Oh, well. These people are never going to understand that happiness comes from within, nothing can ever replace your heart and mind. You are you, and you are the cause of everything else around yourself. Whatever the reason might be, just be happy. Cos sadness is not a happy thing!
Guess you don't know how much I loved this post. It was nice seeing you back at my place as well :)
