VISITING ANGEL

"...and God said, 'I shall send an angel
to inspect what was the living earth, and report
to Me the demolition found therein, thereon'..."
--Foretold, Unwritten

a "time" it was
it was a time, after time.
no reason. no rhyme

isolation
desolation

symphony
outdoor
had played
movement IV

silent violins
trumpets shall sound
no more
winds stopped blowing
all is quiet

cause of death:
self-destruction

armageddon
a coda--
one final sigh.

and i--alone
return home
to dVerse
universe

somewhere...
out there

--the last angel to leave

  3. hey..the dVerse universe made me smile..and i like how you make life a symphony.. and sometimes the coda comes when the music is most beautiful.. always searching for the da capo then..sounds like there was none for the person you're talking about...but hey..they have much better music in heaven than we have here...hugs..

    1. psssshhhh... i didn't wanted to tell you but we're working for the same organization..secret service ya know...exchanging codes in our poetry...mostly through the mention of flies..no one would suspect this...just about to blow up a really big conspiracy...so... just don't tell anyone.. in case we need your help, we'll give you hints by mentioning a violin in the next poem...smiles

  4. Orchestra - d'verse universe
Music why disperse? just keep it going! For every scene of stopping, ending: there is surely another one of gathering to continue! :^))

  5. smiles....self destruction....i imagine that may be our cause of death quite honestly...i'd rather sit and listen to the music personally...smiling at the dverse universe as well...wonder if that last angel caught the bus to the new heaven and new earth...

  6. What will the angel report?

About the past, the present or the future?

And the present we say it is a gift.

  8. Angels wont report against humanity, cos they still have faith on us because of you.

    Nice one indeed :)

  9. Oh, I know what the angel will report..."YOU sure did a number on the U.S.A. with that one." Hehehe.

    1. Ces, I was not really aiming at the USA...well...maybe.
(A little) We couldn't hold 'em back, girl. Most powerful
nation in the world tossed out God, then tossed out
the Constitution, out with FREEDOM, screw all sense of reason,
away with strength, hope, and sit back with our Burgers and fries,
Oscars, Super Bowls, lighting cigars with thousand-dollar bills and
...watch the world slip away one last time, the FINALE!

Oooops! careful, Steve--ya might fall off the soapbox. --smiles!

  10. I'm sure the last angel will have many stories to tell.
our world is too diverse n cryptic to be summed up in a single one :P

  11. I don't know why but this made me sad. Perhaps I was already sad. Hell, no. Maybe those empty chairs which were begging to hold warm behinds?

I wouldn't leave until the last angel left.

    Love you.

    Joy always,
    Susan
