GRASS!......MY ASS!

Beautiful flowers, petals gold
GAWD! How did I get so old.
Came out here to mow the grass,
but first had to plant my ass
in the wet stuff

 LYING IN MY BRO'S BED

Yesss...before work,
REST!

as in
"Begin
with dessert,
salad last on menu;
(use a  fork, el stupido
in such polite venue..."
Awwright, no more  bluff--
got to go
and mow.

 TALKING TO MY BRO-MELIAD

But wait! May I not have
one last sniff of snuff?
(singing) "Hi Ho-Hi Ho" Etc.

Taking off shirt
No more shirk
from work--
and wet stuff

NOTE: 2 weeks, and mow it again!

    1. Brian, I have walked in your back yard--barefoot--it more resembles a well-landscaped field, or State park...
      in your basement
      in your high school
      in your LIFE!
      PEACE.

  6. Steve, leave it to you to create a joyful, funny poem about that most mundane of tasks, gardening. Funny, I have a good friend, Marques Bovre (he says, "Rhymes with ovary!") who made a lovely song about considering mowing his lawn until he thought about the tenacious dandelion... really cute. I'll see if I can find it on YouTube and shoot you the link. Peace, Amy

  7. Why mow it, let it grow! if you cut it, it will grow again so why waste your time.

    1. To your philosophy I also subscribe, Nurse. Got my 2011 IRS (1040) in 10 minutes before P.O. closed on the final day of extension, October 15. But it was the FIRST really stressful day for me since, well, I cannot remember.

What's this about Peeps "half your age"? I read on another blogger's post?--grin!

Welcome back home--soon. And you cannot wait to return to India! How wonderful to love a place--and the peeps--so much! od is good to you, girl!
      PEACE.

  9. funny! :D

I was looking at this thinking... what an amazing place we live in where I have friends who are posting photos of snow, beautiful fall colors, and pretty flowers blooming in the warmth of the sunshine, only a few hours apart across country.

    Be well my friend! :)

    1. Ces, one time a fellow shouted at me (drunk!) "YOU'RE PARANOID!"
I shouted back, "NO I'M NOT!"
HAHA! I did not know what "paranoid" meant (age 41)....NOW I have to look up "pommelo"

      Waiting
      Waiting
      Waiting

So I always KNEW I didn't belong in Florida. As a Pommelo, I need to get back to my home, Malaysia. Want you to know though, old as I am (ancestor to grapefruit), as Bella wrote below...I'm the SWEET one! HAHAHA!

      Of course, you know better.
      Tsup!

  12. Pomelo! Hehehehehe. I've never had a pomelo. But they look like they have thick skins with a lot of sweetness on the inside. Are you a pomelo, Maestro?

Looks like a wonderful place to take a rest. I would join you if I could. We could discuss the virtues of eating dessert first. I think there's scientific evidence to argue that it's better for you. Yummmm. :) Beautiful flowers. But I think you are the best thing in that photo.

And by the way, I like the smell of fresh-cut grass. My husband loved it. It used to be sold as a fragrance at the Gap.

    TSUP!
