REVERIE FROM A
HOTEL ROOM BALCONY
And, one more time--
Tonight!
I see above:
Glowing, golden shadows
And glorious fullness--that
Magnificent magnitude of
Moon Over Miami
Tonight
From the highest perch
Gives one more chance
To witness,
Experience
Oh! what sights
What sounds
And memories.
Human delights
Stories told, retold
About when young
And now old...
Huge winged machines
Speeding worldwide
Float close over
Nearly noiselessly
Carrying cargoes of love
Beneath that SO special
Moon Over Miami
Hearing sweet music
Swimming in my head
And even sweeter
Songs written--
Songs sung
Balcony leaning...
Me? Overlooking
Over ALL.

BRIAN: Ya know, this is FUN, if I just write what is happening. That much I learned from you. The rest I have not learned--YET! Thanks!
CLAUDIA:
Is it the NINETEENTH yet? Hmmm? I am waiting--as I'll bet YOU are--grin! Balcony+coffee here right now...how did you KNOW?
PEACE!
Hi! Thank you for stopping by. I am so sorry. I have been so busy. I wrote today's post last night or shall I say early this morning, around 4:00AM while I was doing laundry!!! I know. I need a life. Anyway, I thank you for your comments. You make me smile or chuckle. I hope you are well and taking care of your back! Weekend!!!!!!!!!! and not on call!!! I don't know what to do with myself.
ReplyDeleteHuh! why would you think that is funny? Hah!
ReplyDeleteWatching life go moving by...taking what you need from the moment. And at night no less - perfect!
ReplyDeleteCES ADORIO:
ReplyDeleteThough you probably do not attempt--you DO make me LOL many times during a week. Laughter is the salvation of humankind. As my memory fades...I'm wondering here, "JUST WHAT THE HELL ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? HUH?"
Ces, thank you for putting up with my B.S.
Gratefully,
Steve E
PEACE!
MAGPIE:
The way YOU write it, sounds pretty good to me. But it IS true. Just take a little bit, day or night and leave some for others...I'm looking for your post....or are you what I wish to be--a week-ender?
this is gorgeous and hasn't the moon been a beautiful beauty? lovely writing, PEEP. xox
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to look back over your life... from a hotel balcony. Gives you a good perspective of where you have been, and where you want to be.
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
Lidj
What is it with you and that sweeeet moon, peeeeep?
ReplyDeleteLove the poem and how you observe life through it... "overlooking over all" > greatly done!
I would have needed a series of pictures to share the beauty of Miami Moon . Awed !You painted a perfect picture through your words.
ReplyDeleteLINDA:
ReplyDeleteThe moon is always with us/me. Responsible it IS for our lunacy, some say. It is easy--and fun--to write about something one is 'seeing'!
CROWN OF BEAUTY:
LIDJ:
Yup! I lived in Miami more than 46 years ago, before moving to Naples. So, yes...memories abound.
DULCE:
Thank you for nice comment. I just write about what I'm seeing, whether at this moment--or in memory. YOU know! Because you do somewhat the same, but OH! in a so much more rhapsodic manner.
KAVITA:
Your photos are truly works of art--how you can even get a butterfly to 'pose'...Wishing I could paint with a brush. But that would mean more "LEARNING" UGH!
Thank you for coming by.
Reminds me how much my hubby loves miami and the beautiful views from tall balconies everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI love travelling to new places, helps me to appreciate all the more the home I have and the people I share it with :)
Hey there stranger, I don't remember your site being so NEON. It's hot stuff!
ReplyDeleteCAROL:
ReplyDeleteI'll accept that as a compliment, Carol. I'm not used to those unless I'm playing the violin and entertaining! Thank you.
JESSIE:
Oh! THERE you are! I was waiting for your visit before blogging a new post--BIG GRINNN! Thank for coming by.
