SomeOne told me
"Everything you need to know
you learned in kindergarten."
Everything I learned
in kindergarten...
I forgot!
WAIT! I remember! There
I kissed my first--no,
second girl...lovely hair!
I had slept with one older
--she was eight--I told her
we were too young
Too young for what?
Neither knew.
We just blew
into each others ear
until we could not hear.
All wet in there.
Hot night
Wet night
Sweat night
Didn't DO anything...
Well, we kissed,
hissed, ummm
and missed.
Never let me say
I'd not live it again
Because, my friend
Ever have I lived such
sweeter life. If only better
I might remember
my kindergarten days. WOW!
And between then and now:
drunked, drugged,
eons, it seems, of
that. Past is past,
so "Live and Love"
PEACE to you, Peeps.
My motto:
BE JOYFUL with me!
BE JOYFUL with me!

Haven't been here for a while, but made up for it by reading the previous posts I have missed. Loved especially your post about hearing and conducting music while you were mowing grass in 100 degrees heat. Loved too the photo you shared for Life is Beautiful. Your daily schedule includes Starbucks ... I love that.
ReplyDeleteBlessings.
Lidia
...and you had to show up just as I was writing a 'young love' poem! Well, please come back. I have been SO gifted to know you, Lidia!
Deleteso cute ;D
ReplyDeleteSo cute :D.
ReplyDeleteIs that "D" a big smile? Or a big tongue saying, "THHHHHPPPHT"? grin!
DeleteGlad to 'see' you, Izdiher.
ha...the first forays of love are a beautiful thing man...when blowing in each others ear was hot stuff...smiles....
ReplyDeleteThose were the days, my friend,
Deletewe wished they'd never end...."
Sigh....
ReplyDeleteIt was seventy years plus...
but the memory is fresh,
the kisses are still wet.
You are a GOOD commenter...or is it commentator?
DeletePEACE!
Ah, young love- reminded me of sleeping on screened porches on VERY hot nights
ReplyDeletewhen you really needed a fan- 'GRIN'
YOU slept also??? I guess those were days when--for 5-yr-olds, sleeping meant SLEEPING!--ginr!
DeleteDidn't have my first kiss until I was 16. I feel really backwards right now...
ReplyDeleteBut...but, Kristin...er, uh...did you not make up for lost time eventually?--BIG grin
Delete(I hope you did.)
My brother kissed a girl in kindergarten--I believe they are married to this day--actually, I KNOW they are!!!
Oh, you rascal, and at such a young age!
ReplyDeleteWell PattiKen...what good is being old, if ya didn't make some memories while young. I'm afraid I have more than my share, or maybe I just talk about them--grin!
DeleteTomorrow I gotta start reading and commenting again. Just cannot do everything, etc., etc. Sound pretty universal?
PEACE!
hi steve, wow, this is so good and you said a mouthful....love your last line! ;)
ReplyDeleteand your new FB photo is pretty cool too. xx
LINDA! Tomorrow after the morning obligations, YOU are going to be the first blog I look for. Promise!
DeleteLove ya, Napa Valley Gal!
It sounds like you already had things figured out in kindergarten... :)
ReplyDeleteNOT figured out, Magpie. Even yet today, not 'figured out'--grin!
DeleteBut just being naturally oneself (and self-centered?) life
unfolds, one day after another. To live "In the moment" is an ideal,
not a 'given'...
SEE how you got me to thinking again?
PEACE!
awww :) cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for NOT writing:
Delete"Is it true?"
Is that YOU?"
Instead..."Awww :) cute!
What could be nicer.
Blessings!
I loved this poem... had a flashback into my kindergarten days (Did I just blush?... no, not really) :-)
