Both paintings titled "VIOLINIST" by Mark Chagall
CLAUDIA, MARC CHAGALL, AND ME
While reading a few of
my blogger “favorites” I fell upon (yes!) this gem by Claudia…and
comment here with words I really felt.
“Lots of fun stuff to “look at” in this piece, Claudia. The
painter paints, and he awesomely colors violinists in non-gravity. (Is THAT why
they called me –back in the day–”spaced-out fiddler”? NO!)”
The following is Inspired by Claudia's work

Clacking keyboard: she and me
and cherry blossom tree, amid
violins bathed in colorful splendor…
Chagall said(?) “Imagine how it must be
to live in all colors, minus gravity.” Hmmm.
Both lived in three-dimensions—or four--
waiting, suspended, not really real.
Falling in or falling out of their place;
a catch, a kiss, love forever sealed.
Nevertheless—
traveling
endlessly,
endlessly,
separately, we

smiles....we touch only in passing mostly...our words plucking each others hearts and coat tails...similarities draw us near, but are we ever really...well as best we can be...play on fiddle man
ReplyDeletebig smile.... i always find that chagall's paintings are so musical in their weightlessness...love the two you chose above, esp. the left one as i can really hear the tunes, even feel them.. now join me on that cherry tree and play a bit on your violin...smiles...spaced-out fiddler..ha..i like...smiles
ReplyDelete:) I love Chagall and I love this! Peace :)
ReplyDeleteYou make such wonderful music, whether it's violin or words!!!
ReplyDeleteI know that poem! ...clacking keyboard. this is lyrically phrased and sting-like in its resonance. I very much enjoyed reading this chagalls and claudia trio in your work.
ReplyDeleteLove the clacking keyboard and the musical flow. Well done.
ReplyDeleteIt's magical how words can connect us in a significant way, even though perhaps, we never meet but on the page. Great write.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing that we can be on opposite sides of the planet and yet touch each other's lives and imaginations so quickly these days.
ReplyDeleteLovely write - and a fine response to Claudia's poem too.
My dad proof reads my stuff, and he would raise his eyebrow at "really real." The image it conjures works for me. I love the quote.... I like the feeling of falling that the write gives me.
ReplyDeleteJames is right. Words connect people even though the only
ReplyDeleteplace they have met is on a e page...Chagall is one of my favorites.
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteI've always loved how Chagall's paintings hung at the Met, since his style has the whimsy of a tune, and this idea of the fiddler and the poet, magical. This poem, written via Claudia's muse, is lovely all by itself. Really real surreality! (wink) Amy
ReplyDeletelove love it
ReplyDeleteNow
these would be good pics to inspire your new template...

These words play the music of a violin.
ReplyDeleteAll you Peeps who commented here--those praises of which I am certainly unworthy--I am nevertheless so happy you have taken the time to read, comment and "play nice"!
ReplyDeleteLove, PEACE, and thanks you...ALL!
I just adore these paintings by Chagall ! (especially the right one-) weightless, somehow crooked and wood blocky. I do love his colors! Musical and great fun thanks!
ReplyDeleteMusic, art, and wonderful poetry. Thank goodness we have these to flavor our lives. Happy Easter, Maestro!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad we still friends, I;ve gotta get you back on my sidebar, Bella. HAPPY EASTER TO YOU, ALSO!
DeleteGotta get over to the church and play mass...PRONTO!
Imagine how it must be
ReplyDeleteto live in all colors, minus gravity...
