CAFFEINE, LOVE, AND ROSES

HAIKU 5-7-5 COMPARISONS

Wooden Roses are Anna's
Photo: Steve E

For Open Link Night--Week #60 at dVerse

Speak to me of coffee;
an elixir like none other?
God's gift to all Peeps!

Is all of life twain?
Frozen stream or Burning Flame.
That 'Flame'--love--IS life.

 Is a rose a rose?
Even made from wood shavings?
When not and why not?

LOVE and PEACE
Steve E (aka steveroni)

I prefer the 5-7-5 syllable haiku
to the 3-5-3  syllable stanza
because I an wordy, not nerdy--grin!

    1. Sorry ^.^ Failure was/is not on my mind--
or maybe I do not understand what you meant.

But if you or someone you know is in "failure" mode
I wish them love and peace, that it will pas soon.
      Thanks for commenting.

    2. OH About "love" failing. If that fails, then I believe it was NOT "LOVE". The real thing is denoted by an ability and willingness to 'work out' every difficulty. It needs more than human power.

And, lest I forget, LOVE takes TWO. (or more?)

      PEACE!

    3. Steve E, on your second reply (which I read on the way to commenting on your delightful post), I agree! Love never fails!

    1. Been thinking about joining CA...but cannot find a meeting in Naples.
Maybe I could start one. Write a Big Book, find me a co-founder, buy a house with 12 steps to the front door--open up shop.

I can just 'hear' the shares: "I'm a DUAL-ADDICTED "personality"! Etc., etc.

I'm gonna think about that "symphony-in-a-cup"--or maybe just drink it, not 'think' it--grin!

      PEACE, Carolina-Peep!

    1. Well Ces, I like Starbucks. Ambiance there is conducive to blog-writing, and free-and-fast Internet access always. And when I spend two hours in a nice surrounding, I'll pay an extra "buck" for the Star.
SOME Peeps even sketch there, I notice............

We disagree on SO many things!!! But I still like ya--a lot!

    1. John! is not much of our existence 'perception'?
However, there is but ONE TRUTH, whatever it is.
There can be NOT more than one!

When you are ready, please allow me to introduce you to my Peeps (in a blog post on Fourth Dimension) OKAY?

You are the bestest co-worker with which I have ever been associated.
And you have taught me SO much in our Webmaster sessions. I hope and pray our "fun-and-friendship" collaboration lasts for a long time.

  23. Cool poems! (Plural) Some thoughts I had....

Two words for your first poem: "Diet Coke" :) Coffee is so blase', so generic, so...... hot. You all have Starbucks, now the rest of us should get a Starsoda!

Last poem? A rose is a rose is a rose..... Under any other name it would smell just as sweet. Wood shavings can have a nice aroma too. But spraying pine scented air freeshner on dog crap only makes it smell like a dog shit a christmas tree. Wood shavings are only wood shavings....

Middle poem: Love is love. Lost or imagined - it smells just as sweet. It is the beholder who knows if it ever lived or not, just as it is the viewer who brings life to a poem.....

Finally Steve, Haiku, Senryu, Free Verse..... I couldn't care less. Brilliance is the gauge for poetry, and yours has always met that mark..... These are no exception. Art is art in any form....

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. John, you just brought me to realize, when you wrote, "Art is art in any form."

...that even a child at the age of five who's crayola colorings, she "...drew this for grandma..." is a work of art.

And the first, greatest, forever work of art to last until the end of time--creation.

However, I DO believe that art, by its nature, is of certain form, maybe flexible, but NOTHING is without form of some kind. NO CHAOS HERE!

HEY I WANNA BE A QUARK!
      PEACE!
